hello martin, we are a group at ninestiles school that are studying about the great deal of swimming that you do and where you do them.
As a group we think you are amazing and also very inspiring because you show a great deal of determination, when it comes to your swims. but we have one question, WHY?
Big congrats Martin, Borut, Matthew, John, and crew are your success at Sundance.
hey how old are you cuz your strong? ? ?
I am writing an essay on your longest swim, The Amazon River! My College English class is focusing a paper on the documentaries of the 2009 Sundance Festival. I have choosen you as my topic! You really have amazed the world, and i hope to spread your story further! If you could give me any details (since the documentary is not out yet) on any illnesses you received during your swim and after the completion that would be extremely helpful. What makes the Amazon River so polluted? What things did you see, or effected your health during the journey?
Please e-mail me back.
Sincerely,

Dear Mr. Strel:
Having visited Parima II, the river Caura and Jutahei made me appreciate even more what you did. I agree with all those who call you brave, strong-minded, decided and many more compliments.
Since I would love to let my mother participate in your fantastic swim I wanted to ask you, whether the book has been translated already into German.
I wished more men would imitate you – we need heroes. My sincerest congratulations! Rike

I read your book and am just finishing my report. My Mom helped me with the book. We loved it! ! I will spread your message to my class. If you ever need a partner to help with your swim to raise awareness contact me. I am working on my provincial times and I can swim 5km in under 2 hours.

It is amazing. I hardly swam my local River Skofljica in 3 days its about 7km long. But this is. . .
way to go yet again Martin. Congratulations on your awards. I am waiting patiently for the documentary to come out. finished the book a long time ago and as I have said before, loved it. Gods blessings and peace to you all.
I only swum once, in the Amazon River, front Indiana, It was plenty of mud, sometimes are logs, the current is very strong. It was the first and last time I could swim on mud. Other times I used to swim in beautiful lagoons or rivers
Once a Naka Naka, was a beautiful yellow & Black serpent floating over the waters, observing me. When I noticed I jumped on the Boat, and went as far as possible. But it was a beautiful experience.
I really appreciate your 66 wonderful swimming days in the jungle.
“The Man Who Swam The Amazon” takes me along for the adventure. Amazon sells it world wide where a few great reviews on their international sites might propel it even more.
Espetacular a travessia do Martin. Parabéns amigo. Seu exemplo inspira todos nós que gostamos de esportes, principalmente nadar, correr, etc.
