After a successful film festival circuit around the world, Big river man is now
playing in cinemas.

A film like no other, Big River Man is the true story of Martin Strel, the World
record holding endurance swimmer, and his insane attempt to be the first person
to swim the world’s most dangerous river, the mighty Amazon.

To help reinforcing Martin Strel’s green message of keeping the rainforest alive,
Big river man is getting its eco-friendly release in UK.

In keeping with the movie’s ecological theme, UK distributor Revolver Entertainment
has committed to work in partnership with Dolby to distribute the movie in a new
and exciting way.

The movie has been mastered by Dolby in the USA and then transmitted directly to
Dolby’s UK center. From there, Dolby’s UK mastering facility produced the Digital
Cinema Package and then transmite this by satellite to digital cinemas around the
UK–eliminating air freight and couriers used to transport 35mm film and hard drives
containing digital prints. This will reduce Big River Man´s carbon footprint and
further help to reinforce Martin Strel’s green message.

Martin Strel will be appearing personally in United Kingdom for several events promoting
Big River Man in the beginning of September 2009.
